DC Kulgam reviews I-Day arrangements  

 

KULGAM, JULY 26 ( KINS): The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today convened a meeting of officers to finalize arrangements for smooth Independence Day celebrations in the district.

 

The meeting held threadbare discussions on arrangements to be put in place at the venue for the National function, including security, seating, transportation, parking, electricity, refreshment, medicare, availability of ambulance, deployment of fire tenders and sanitation measures.

 

The meeting was informed that the main function of the celebrations will be held at District Police Lines, Kulgam, where the chief guest will hoist the National Flag followed by inspection of parade and taking of the salute.

 

It was decided that march-past will be presented by contingents of JKP, CRPF, Fire and Emergency, Forest Protection Force, Police Band.

 

Colorful cultural programmes will also be held on the occasion.

 

During the meeting, the DC constituted a team of officers to oversee the preparedness at all levels for the smooth and successful conduct of I-Day celebrations.

 

The DC also instructed the concerned departments to ensure uninterrupted drinking water and power supplies at the venue on the day of I-Day celebrations.

 

He also directed for proper illumination of buildings and institutions.

 

EO of Municipal Council Kulgam was directed by the Deputy Commissioner to ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of the main venue and town.He also directed the officers to ensure no breach of COVID-19 SOPs.

 

ADDC, ADC, ACR, ACD, CPO, CEO, Principals from Colleges, Commandant CRPF 18th battalion, all Tehsildars, Ex. Engineers of R&B, PHE, ARTO, DYSSO and other district and sectoral officers of the district were present in the meeting. ( KINS)
