Poonch: Medical Complex sealed, people fined for violation of COVID-19 safety protocol

 POONCH, JULY 27(KINS):: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet, a  private Medical Complex housing a chemist shop and a laboratory was sealed today by enforcement team led by Tehsildar Haveli Anjum Khattak for failing to enforce physical distancing norms and control the number of people entering the shop.

 

It’s for the first time that a major chemist/medical shop was sealed in the heart of Poonch City since the emergence of COVID 19 pandemic.

 

The Medical shop owner, who happened to be the President of the Chemists Association, after failed attempts to exert pressure on administration, met the District Development Commissioner Poonch and rendered an unconditional apology.

 

Besides all other members of the Association accompanying him accepted their mistake and assured that the same will not be repeated in future.

 

Later in the evening, Tehsildar Haveli allowed the operation after the violator(s) filed a written apology duly attested in presence of two independent witnesses.

 

The enforcement team included Tehsildar Haveli, Dy SP HQs , Naib Tehsildar Haveli, NT Gulpur and SHO Haveli.

 

Earlier in the day, the enforcement teams recovered Rs 7000 fine from the violators in the Tehsil.

 

Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner has appealed to the public to take extra precautions and avoid gathering. He said following safety protocols becomes more important after the full relaxation of restrictions and increase of activities. (KINS):
