Police, Army arrest 2 with Rs 25.81 lakhs Hawala money near LoC in Poonch

Jammu, Aug 10 (KINS) Joint teams of Police and Army on Tuesday arrested two persons with Hawala money near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Police spokesman here said that on information, Police along with Indian Army, early this morning raided different locations in village Kanga Bhrooti, in Mendhar area near the Line of Control and seized an amount of Rs 25,81,500/- meant for terror financing.

Two persons have been arrested in this connection and are identified as Mohammad Shakeel of Kanga and Mohammad Alyas of Kanga Bhrooti. A case under relevant sections has been registered and investigation started, he said.
