DIC Gbl sensitizes media persons on CAB, SOPs

GANDERBAL, AUGUST 11 ( KINS ) : As a part of the series of activities being carried out by the District Information Centre (DIC) Ganderbal in connection with IEC campaign, the DIC Ganderbal today organised interaction cum sensitization program on Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) with the media persons at Town Hall here.

During the program, the participants were made aware about CAB and other basic SOPs like washing hands frequently, wearing masks, maintaining social distance etc.

District Information Officer (DIO) Ganderbal while speaking on the occasion highlighted the role of media in dissemination of information regarding CAB and other basic precautions with regard to Covid. He appealed to them to carry the message among general public so that the looming threat of Covid 3rd wave and resurgence of positive cases could be mitigated.

Several media persons including President Media Guild Ganderbal, Shah Ajaz also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the importance of observing CAB and said that active cooperation from the general public is must to avert the COVID-19 pandemic and advised the participants not to lower guard to avoid resurgence of Covid in the district.

The participants were also briefed about the benefits of Covid vaccination and were urged to take the vaccine and request the general public to take the vaccine timely.

President Municipal Council Ganderbal, Advocate Altaf Ahmad, EO Municipal Council Ganderbal, DIO Ganderbal and officials of DIC Ganderbal were also present on the occasion.
