Overall positivity rate comes down to 0.43%, recovery increases to 98.4%: DC Gbl

GANDERBAL, AUGUST 16 ( KINS ) : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna today said that overall Covid positivity rate has come down to 0.43 percent and recovery rate increases to 98.4 percent in the district.

The DC said this during a routine press briefing to present an overall situation of the Covid-19 in the district, besides the Covid containment and mitigation measures employed so far in the district.

While congratulating the general public for participating actively in Independence day function, the DC complement the people for following CAB and other basic SOPs like wearing face mask and maintaining social distance during celebrations of national event and requested them to keep following all SOPs related to Covid strictly to combat the possible 3rd wave of Covid infection.

Regarding vaccination campaigns for 18-44 years, the DC said that 42 percent of the population are given 1st dose and 47 percent of the population of 45 years above are also given 2nd dose. She said that vaccination is going smoothly in the district and complimented the people for their support and cooperation.She again requested the people to keep following CAB and avoid large gatherings during the Muharram days.
