DC Kupwara reviews pace of power projects under various schemes

KUPWARA, AUGUST 20 ( KINS ) : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of projects under various schemes of the Power sector in the district.

On the occasion, the DC took work wise review of the projects under Languishing projects, DDUGJY, R-APDRP and PMPD schemes.

He stressed upon the concerned engineers to ensure completion of all on-going power projects within the stipulated time frame. He directed them to provide uninterrupted power supply to the people especially in far flung areas so that they do not face inconvenience.

It was informed in the meeting that 7 augmentation projects under the PMDP scheme relating to Receiving Stations of Sogam, Chowgul, Doolipora, Ganapora, Khumriyal, Kralpora and Krusan have been completed so far. Further, 45 percent of work has also been completed on construction of Armpora-Khumriyal 33KV line under the same scheme.

It was also informed in the meeting that 3 projects including construction of 1×6.3 MVA Receiving Stations at Teethwal, Keran and Machil have also been completed. Moreover, under the Languishing projects scheme, 3 projects including construction of 1×6.3 MVA Receiving stations at Karihama, Changmulla and construction of a transformer repairing workshop at Tangdhar have also been completed.

JD Planning, Abdul Majeed; Chief Medical Officer Kupwara, Executive Engineers and other concerned attended the meeting.
