Civilian shot dead in Srinagar

 

Srinagar , Dec 22 ( KINS) A civilian who was seriously injured after suspected militants fired upon him in Nawa Kadal area of Srinagar, succumbed to his injuries on his way to the hospital, officials said.

The slain was identified as Rouf Ahmad Khan, son of Muhammad Shafi Khan of Mirjanpora Nawa Kadal was fired upon by unidentified gunmen outside his home.

A police officer told Rising Kashmir civilian who was injured in the Nawakadal incident succumbed to his injuries. He was shot outside his house.

“Soon after the attack, he was shifted to a nearby hospital, following serious chest injuries, he succumbed,” the officer said.

“We are checking the CCTV footage of the incident and perpetrators of the crime will soon be arrested or killed in the encounter,” he said.( KINS)
