Srinagar Police Denies House Arrests Amidst Anticipation of Supreme Court’s Article 370 Verdict

Srinagar, Dec 11: Srinagar Police Denies claims of any individuals being put under house arrest in the district.
The clarification comes as the nation awaits the crucial verdict from the Supreme Court’s Constitution bench on petitions challenging the abrogation of Article 370 and the bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir into two Union territories.
In an official message, the Srinagar Police asserted, “No person has been placed under house arrest in Srinagar. The situation in the region is peaceful, and there is no basis to the rumors circulating regarding house arrests.”
This announcement seeks to dispel concerns and dispel misinformation that may have surfaced ahead of the Supreme Court’s landmark decision on the constitutional changes made in Jammu and Kashmir.
The apex court’s Constitution bench, comprised of esteemed jurists, is poised to deliver its verdict on the contentious issue that has been a focal point of political discourse and legal deliberations.
