Police organises awareness programme on drug abuse in Ganderbal

December 12:Police in Ganderbal under Civic Action Program in an ongoing effort to combat the growing issues of drug abuse among the youth, organized drug awareness programme at Govt. Degree College Ganderbal.

The event aimed to educate students about the dangers of drug abuse, prevention strategies and appropriate responses in case of encountering drug-related situations. The Seminar was attended by doctors, scholars, professors, students, social activists & other stakeholders.

Principal Degree College Ganderbal Professor Dr. Fozia Fatima welcomed the gathering with her outstanding speech & spoke about the disastrous consequences of drug abuse. She further encouraged the students to refrain from the dreadful disease of drugs. Moreover, DySP Hqrs Ganderbal Shri Gh Hassan-JKPS & other distinguished personalities which included doctors, scholars & professors delivered engaging lectures to the students, empowering them with essential knowledge to recognize the symptoms of drug abuse and offering guidance on appropriate initial responses. They provided students with a deeper understanding of the challenges posed by drug abuse.

Students of Degree College Ganderbal also delivered comprehensive presentation, putting up their views & opinions on valuable insights on various facets of drug addiction. The success of the awareness programme at Govt. Degree College Ganderbal serves as a testament to Ganderbal Police’s commitment to the well-being of the community and its dedication to foster a drug-free environment for the youth.

At the conclusion of the event, mementoes were distributed among the dignitaries for their participation in the seminar.
