Jammu and Kashmir Government Employees Given Final Chance to Submit Property Returns

Srinagar, Mar 03: In accordance with Circular No. 36-JK(GAD) of 2023 and subsequent notifications, all employees under the Jammu and Kashmir Government were mandated to file their property returns for 2023 on the PRS Portal by January 31, 2024, with an extension until February 27, 2024. However, a significant number of employees failed to meet the extended deadline, raising concerns over non-compliance with mandatory procedures.
Defaulting employees risk facing consequences under the Jammu and Kashmir Public Men and Public Servants Declaration of Assets Act and associated regulations. In response, the General Administration Department has granted a final opportunity for defaulting employees to submit their property returns. Starting from March 3, 2024, until March 17, 2024, employees can rectify their non-compliance by utilizing the online submission option on the PRS Portal.
Additionally, employees who registered on the portal but failed to submit their property returns are urged to fulfill this obligation during the stipulated period. Unregistered employees must first register on the portal before submitting their returns. To address issues related to OTP, employees are instructed to update their contact information on the CPIS portal. Disbursing Officers (DDOs) are tasked with facilitating this process, while any technical concerns can be directed to support-prs@jk.gov.in for prompt resolution.
Controlling Officers and Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) are reminded to ensure full compliance with property return filings within their respective establishments. Administrative Departments will oversee the progress and adherence to these directives. It is imperative for all employees to adhere to the prescribed timeline and fulfill their obligations to avoid potential repercussions under the law.
