Lok Sabha Elections 2024 RO Baramulla PC holds training session with political parties reps

BARAMULLA, APRIL 15: The Returning Officer (RO) 1-Baramulla Parliamentary Constituency (PC), Minga Sherpa today conducted a comprehensive training session with the representatives of all the political parties.
The training session was aimed at educating them about the process of filing nomination papers for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections-2024.
The training session was conducted to ensure a smooth and transparent nomination process for the candidates contesting for the 1-Baramulla Parliamentary Constituency seat, with the election scheduled to take place on May 20, 2024.
During the session, the RO briefed the participants on the eligibility requirements and documents necessary for filing nomination papers, while emphasizing the importance of adherence to the stipulated timelines, with the filing of nomination papers set to commence on April 26, 2024.
Further, detailed instructions were provided to the participating representatives regarding the completion of nomination forms and submission protocols to ensure compliance with legal and electoral norms.
Minga Sherpa underscored the significance of upholding democratic principles and urged all political parties and candidates to maintain ethical conduct throughout the electoral process.
The RO reiterated the Election Commission’s commitment to conducting free, fair, and transparent elections, fostering a level playing field for all contestants.
Deputy District Election Officer Baramulla, Ab Rehman Bhat, representatives of political parties and other election officials were present during the training session.
