Guardroom outside police officer’s home catch fire

Srinagar, Jan 30 : A guard room outside residential quarter of a senior police officer at Tulsibagh here, caught fire on Wednesday night.

Official sources told news agency that fire erupted from the guard room, housing SSB men, and flames could be seen from a distance. It created panic in the VIP area.

A police official confirming that incident said that fire tenders have reached the spot and presently flames are being extinguished.
Regarding the cause of fire, he said that it will be ascertained once the flames are brought to control.
Regarding safety of weapons, he said that nothing can be said at present. (GNS)
