Sultan Warriors Baramulla lift Chinar Premier League 2026 Trophy

Srinagar, Sept 15 (KINS): The first edition of the Chinar Premier League (CPL) Cricket Tournament 2026 concluded at Gen Bipin Rawat Stadium in Baramulla with Sultan Warriors Baramulla emerging as champions.
The tournament witnessed record participation, with 130 teams registering for the competition. A total of 79 teams from across the Kashmir Valley were selected to compete in the tournament.
In the grand finale, Sultan Warriors Baramulla defeated Ramzii Sports Srinagar by 40 runs. Sultan Warriors posted 182/9, while Ramzii Sports Srinagar were bowled out for 142.
Aaqib Khanday of Sultan Warriors was named Man of the Match, while Asim Bashir was adjudged Man of the Series.
The closing ceremony was attended by Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, IAS, the GOC Dagger Division and distinguished members of the local community.
The CPL 2026 provided a platform for young cricketing talent from across Kashmir and aimed to promote sportsmanship while strengthening engagement between the Indian Army and local communities, particularly the youth.(KINS)
