Notorious Smuggler Apprehended in Sopore under PIT-NDPS Act

Srinagar, May 09: Continuing its crusade against the drug epidemic, the police have apprehended a notorious drug smuggler, Mohammad Asif Dar, also known as Aash Manut, under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT-NDPS) Act. Dar, a resident of Mumkak Butpora, Sopore, has a history of drug-related offenses and has been detained and incarcerated in Central Jail Kot-Balwal, Jammu.
Despite facing multiple charges, Dar persisted in his drug trade, supplying narcotics to the youth of Police District Sopore and beyond. The swift action taken by the police has garnered praise from the local community, who are relieved to see measures being taken to combat the drug trade. The police reaffirm their commitment to upholding the law and cracking down on criminals involved in drug trafficking.
