Innovative Polling Stations Enhance Inclusivity and Sustainability in Lok Sabha Elections Phase IV

Srinagar, May 13: In a groundbreaking move, the Election Commission of India (ECI) sets up 119 special polling stations in Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency (PC) for the fourth phase of General Elections to Lok Sabha 2024. These stations, including women, youth, and PwD manned, along with green model and unique polling stations, prioritize inclusivity and eco-consciousness. Across Srinagar PC, districts witness tailored polling stations catering to diverse needs, promoting accessibility and representation. With a focus on women, youth, and PWDs, these stations aim to empower all segments of society, while ECI’s green practices emphasize environmental sustainability. CEO Pandurang K Pole highlights ECI’s unwavering commitment to inclusivity and sustainability, marking a significant stride towards ensuring equal democratic participation for all citizens.
