Security Beefed Up Ahead of Home Minister’s Srinagar Visit

Srinagar, May 16: Ahead of Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Srinagar, security measures have been significantly enhanced, particularly in the Gupkar area.
Additional security forces have been deployed to ensure a safe environment during the visit.
Security personnel are closely monitoring possible routes that the Home Minister may use upon his arrival.
According to sources, Shah is scheduled to reach late evening today and will be staying overnight. During his stay, he is expected to meet with various delegations, including BJP leaders, in Srinagar.
Sources also said that the Home Minister is slated to depart on Friday. Shah’s visit coincides with the ongoing parliamentary elections, with the Baramulla parliamentary constituency set for elections on May 20, followed by the Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seat on May 25.(KNS)
