Police Attach Property of Notorious Drug Peddler in Baramulla

Baramulla, July 11: In its ongoing crackdown on drug peddlers, the Baramulla police have attached the property of notorious drug peddler Mohd Sabir Barwal, son of Faqeer Ali, resident of Jabda Kamalkote and currently residing in Laghama Uri. The property, a residential house valued at approximately Rs. 23.00 lakhs, was seized under sections 68-E read with 68-F (1) of the NDPS Act of 1985 in connection with case FIR No. 17/2022 under sections 8/21 and 29 of the NDPS Act of PS Uri.
The investigation identified the property as being illegally acquired. This operation underscores the police’s commitment to combating the drug menace. Community members are encouraged to report any drug-related activities in their neighborhoods. The police assure that all individuals involved in drug peddling will be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law, reinforcing their efforts to eradicate the scourge of drugs from society.
