Srinagar, July 15: Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, conducted a late-night visit on Sunday to inspect the 8th Muharram procession route from Guru Bazar to Dalgate via Budshah Kadal and M.A Road.
Accompanied by representatives from various Shia associations, Dr. Bhat reviewed the arrangements made by the administration to facilitate mourners and ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the processions on this traditional route.
During the inspection, Dr. Bhat also assessed the stalls set up by the Shia community along the route and visited Hydari Hall Boulevard at Dalgate, where the 8th Muharram procession concludes.
