SMC Launches Swachhata Pakhwada Campaign to Boost Cleanliness at Key Transportation Hubs

Srinagar, August 09: :The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) has initiated the Swachhata Pakhwada Campaign to enhance cleanliness at vital transportation hubs across the city, including bus terminals, railway stations, and the airport. This campaign is designed to promote a culture of cleanliness and environmental stewardship among all involved parties.
As part of this initiative, SMC has organized focused cleanliness drives at these major transport centers. These drives involve systematic waste management and sanitation efforts conducted by dedicated SMC teams to maintain a clean and hygienic environment for all.
To emphasize proper waste disposal, SMC has placed informative signage at key locations throughout the city. These signs aim to remind travelers and transport staff of their role in responsible waste management and its impact on overall cleanliness and sustainability.
The campaign also includes educational programs to raise awareness about the importance of cleanliness and encourage collective responsibility in maintaining a clean environment. Through interactive sessions and engaging activities, participants will be motivated to support the cleanliness drives and adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives.
The Swachhata Pakhwada Campaign reflects SMC’s dedication to fostering a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable city for residents and visitors. By partnering with commuters, transport staff, and other stakeholders, SMC seeks to positively influence cleanliness and hygiene at these key transportation hubs.
