Srinagar, Aug 27 (KINS):In preparation for the upcoming assembly elections, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Law & Order J&K, Vijay Kumar, IPS, chaired a crucial meeting at the Police Control Room (PCR) in Kashmir. The discussion centered on the finalization of security arrangements across Jammu and Kashmir and detailed logistics for the induction of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) contingents.
The meeting saw the participation of senior police and security officers from across the Union Territory, including ADGP Jammu Shri Anand Jain, IPS, IG CRPF (KOS) G.K. Verma, IPS, IGP Kashmir Zone V.K. Birdi, IPS, and various district SSsP, alongside CAPF nodal officers. The officers discussed coordination between forces to ensure smooth conduct of the elections, with a focus on meticulous planning, strategic deployment, and adherence to security protocols.
Vijay Kumar stressed the need for professional handling of the election process, maintaining law and order, and proactive responses to potential threats.
