Amit Shah in Jammu: “Only Govt of India Can Restore Statehood to J&K, It’s Already Promised After Elections”

Srinagar, Sep 07 (KINS): Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing a rally in Jammu today, countered the Congress-NC alliance’s claims about restoring statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
Shah emphasized that only the Government of India holds the authority to restore statehood and reaffirmed his earlier commitment made in Parliament.
“Congress-NC Alliance claims they’ll restore statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, but only the Government of India can do that. I’ve already stated in Parliament that statehood will be restored after elections, so what they are demanding is something we’ve already promised,” Shah said during his speech.(KINS)
