Chinar Corps Commander Visits Forward Posts in Gurez Sector, ‘Reviews Security Preparedness’

Srinagar, Sep 10 (KINS): Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, Commander of the Chinar Corps, visited the forward posts of the Vajr Division in the Gurez sector today.
The visit was aimed at reviewing the security situation and operational preparedness along the Line of Control (LoC).
During his visit, the Corps Commander assessed the ground situation, interacting with soldiers and senior officers stationed in the LoC.
As per the Army, the commander was briefed about the latest developments, current challenges, and the measures being taken to maintain a high level of alertness in the area.
The sector, which shares proximity to the LoC, has been of strategic importance, given the ongoing threats of infiltration.
As per the news agency KINS, while motivating the troops, Lt Gen Ghai emphasized the importance of vigilance and preparedness, stating, “Your commitment to the nation’s defense is exemplary. Every individual posted here is a bulwark against any potential threat. We must ensure that any inimical activity on the LoC is met with a swift and fitting response.”
He further praised the operational readiness of the Army Jawans, saying, “I have full confidence in your abilities and preparedness. Together, we will continue to thwart any attempt to disrupt the peace and stability of this region.”
Lt Gen Ghai emphasizing the importance of continued cooperation between the armed forces, local administration, Jammu and Kashmir Police and intelligence agencies to ensure the security of the region.(KINS)
