Congress to launch agitation over threats to Rahul Gandhi, Says Party Chief Mallikarjun Kharge

Srinagar, Sep 21 (KINS): Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, while campaigning for his party’s candidates in the ongoing Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections, stated that the Congress would launch an agitation in response to threats made against Rahul Gandhi.
Kharge firmly stated that the Congress would not be intimidated by the “poisonous mindset” of the RSS-BJP.
During a press conference in Jammu, Kharge criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for failing to act against BJP leaders who made derogatory remarks against Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.
“BJP and RSS leaders, including MLAs and MPs, openly speak about chopping off the tongues of our leaders. Rahul Gandhi is being attacked simply for speaking the truth, and an atmosphere of hate is being created against him, just as it was done against his grandmother, Indira Gandhi,” Kharge said.
He further accused the Prime Minister of ignoring provocative speeches made by BJP and RSS leaders, suggesting that Modi is hesitant to act against them out of fear.
Kharge emphasized that the Congress will not stand down and will continue to resist such attacks on its leadership.(KINS)
