‘Record crowd of around 27,000 people watch Legends League Cricket final at Bakshi Stadium’ LG Manoj Sinha interacts with players

Srinagar, Oc 16 (KINS): A huge crowd of 27,000 people filled Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar to watch the Legends League Cricket final.
It was an exciting moment for cricket in Kashmir, with fans overflowing the stadium. Many even stood on the nearby flyover to catch a glimpse of the match.
The match featured famous cricket legends, drawing fans from across the region. Bakshi Stadium, recently upgraded for international events, was packed with excited spectators, setting a new standard for sports events in the Valley.
News agency KINS reported that while officials expected a large crowd, they were surprised by just how many people turned up. The sight of fans on the flyover showed how much excitement the match had generated.
Fans were thrilled. “This is a dream come true. Watching legends play in Srinagar with so much support is amazing,” said one fan who stood on the flyover.
The success of the event could open doors for more international sports events, further establishing Jammu and Kashmir as a major sporting destination in India.
Meanwhile Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha interacted with cricket legends participating in the final match of the Legends League Cricket (LLC).
LG Sinha lauded the contribution of players and emphasized the transformative role cricket plays in uniting communities.
“This event is not just about the game; it’s about bringing people together and inspiring the youth of Jammu and Kashmir,” said Sinha.
Sinha added that the administration is keen on nurturing sports infrastructure in the Jammu and Kashmir to provide more opportunities for youth participation.
Players, including international cricket icons, expressed their delight at playing in the heart of Kashmir and praised the warm hospitality and enthusiasm of the local fans.(KINS)
