J&K to observe vigilance awareness week; ‘CM to administer integrity pledge’

Srinagar, Oct 26 (KINS): The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has announced the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2024, with a formal pledge-taking ceremony scheduled for October 28th.
News agency KINS reported that Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah will administer the Integrity Pledge at 11:00 AM from Meeting Hall 3rd Floor, CM Chamber, at the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar.
In an official communication issued by the General Administration Department, all Administrative Secretaries have been invited to join the Chief Minister for this occasion. Secretaries and officers based in Jammu will attend the ceremony from designated halls on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Civil Secretariat in Jammu, ensuring participation from both administrative hubs.
Additionally, Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, and Heads of Departments across the region will join via video conferencing from their respective district headquarters.
These offices are also tasked with organizing similar pledge ceremonies for their departmental employees, furthering the initiative’s reach across all administrative levels.
The Vigilance Awareness Week serves as a reminder of the administration’s ongoing efforts to uphold integrity and combat corruption, resonating with national and local priorities for good governance.(KINS)
