Three injured in road accident involving Echo vehicle in Kishtwar

Srinagar Oct 27 (KINS): A road accident on Sunday involving an Echo vehicle on the Chhatroo road in Kishtwar district resulted in injuries to three individuals. The injured were swiftly taken to the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) in Chhatroo for necessary medical treatment.
Local authorities and police have responded to the incident, taking cognizance of the accident and initiating an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
News agency KINS reported that following the incident, Member of Parliament and Union Minister Dr. Jatinder Singh expressed his concern and commitment to improving road safety in the region.
“I just spoke to DC Kishtwar Rajesh Kumar Shavan after learning about the road accident involving the Eco vehicle at Mugal Maidan. Three injured individuals have been shifted to SDH Chhatroo,” he said
The Union Minister said that the administration is working on a comprehensive road safety plan that incorporates the latest technologies.
“This includes radar surveillance, 100% camera installation in commercial vehicles, regular fitness checks of vehicles, and the identification and rectification of black spots on roads. Additionally, we are focusing on the installation of crash barriers and road signals, as well as strict traffic regulations, including checks on overloading.”(KINS)
