Police attach property worth Lakhs of notorious Drug Peddler in Pulwama

Srinagar, Dec 12 (KINS): In a strong move to combat drug peddling, the Pulwama Police today attached a single-storey residential house worth approximately Rs. 20 lakhs.
The property belongs to notorious drug peddler Javaid Ahmad Ganaie, son of Mohd Shaban Ganie, a resident of Loolipora Kakapora.
The house was identified as illegally acquired during an investigation by the Pulwama Police, which found that it was purchased through proceeds from illicit drug trafficking. Javaid Ahmad Ganaie is currently incarcerated in Central Jail Kot Balwal Jammu under the PIT NDPS Act.
The action was taken under sections 68-E and 68-F (1) of the NDPS Act of 1985, linked to FIR No. 15/2023 under section 8/15 of the NDPS Act at PS Kakapora, and FIR No. 220/2020 under section 8/15 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Pulwama.(KINS)
