CMO Pulwama issues circular banning private practice by docs during Duty hours

Pulwama Dec 21 (KINS): The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Pulwama has issued a circular strictly prohibiting government doctors and paramedics from engaging in private practice during official duty hours, from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

According to news agency KINS, the circular directs that private practice during working hours violates service norms and adversely impacts the quality of healthcare services provided at government facilities. The administration has warned that any violation of this directive will result in disciplinary action under the Service Conduct Rules.

To ensure compliance, the administration will conduct surprise inspections. All concerned officers and Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) within the jurisdiction have been directed to treat this directive with utmost seriousness. (KINS)
