CM Omar Abdullah visits Sonmarg to review preparations for PM Modi’s Visit

KINS DESK
Srinagar, Jan 11 (KINS): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah visited Sonmarg today to assess the preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit scheduled for Monday.
News agency KINS reported that during his visit, CM Omar Abdullah shared key insights into the positive impact of the Z-Morh tunnel, set to be inaugurated on Monday by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The tunnel is expected to revolutionize tourism in Sonmarg by making it accessible year-round, facilitating a significant boost to local tourism, especially in winter months.
Omar Abdullah said Sonmarg will now be developed into a premier ski resort, offering more opportunities for local employment and economic growth.
He highlighted that the development will ensure that the local population no longer needs to leave the area during the harsh winter months.
