J&K Govt focusing on market-based technical education for youth: Dy CM
Jammu, Feb 19 (KINS): Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Wednesday reaffirmed the government’s commitment to equipping youth with modern, market-oriented technical skills to enhance employment opportunities.
During his visit to the Government Industrial Training Institute and Government Polytechnic for Women at Akhnoor Road, Jammu, Choudhary as per news agency KINS interacted with students and inspected the facilities available for various technical courses.
He emphasized that the initiative aims to empower young individuals not only to secure jobs but also to become job creators.
“The government has launched a comprehensive program to provide skill-based education aligned with market demands. Our goal is to enable youth to contribute effectively to the economy while securing a sustainable future for themselves and others,” he said.
The Deputy Chief Minister also directed the faculty to ensure a seamless learning experience for students, urging them to address any challenges faced by trainees promptly.
He reiterated the administration’s focus on bridging the gap between education and industry needs, assuring further enhancement of technical training infrastructure across the region.(KINS)
