AIP expresses grief over Rajouri, Poonch flash flood tragedy; urges swift relief and rehabilitation

Srinagar, July 19 (KINS): The Jammu and Kashmir Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) on Sunday expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives caused by the devastating flash floods in Rajouri and Poonch districts, and extended its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
In a statement, AIP State Secretary and former President of the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Sheikh Ashiq, said the party stands in full solidarity with the people affected by the disaster.
He urged the administration to speed up rescue and relief operations, ensure proper medical treatment for the injured, and provide immediate compensation and rehabilitation to the families of those who lost their lives as well as those displaced by the floods.
Sheikh Ashiq also appealed to citizens, volunteers, and civil society organisations to come forward and support the ongoing relief efforts.
He said the Awami Ittehad Party would extend every possible assistance to the victims and called for long-term measures to reduce the impact of such natural disasters in the future.
Praying for the departed souls, Sheikh Ashiq expressed hope that the bereaved families would find strength to cope with the immense loss.(KINS)
