Srinagar, May 28 (KINS): The Meteorological Department has issued a weather advisory for Jammu and Kashmir, forecasting a series of rain and thundershower spells across the region over the next few days.

According to officials, isolated areas may experience a brief spell of rain and thundershowers later today and on May 29. The intensity and spread of the weather system are expected to increase by the end of the month.

“Between May 30 and 31, several parts of J&K are likely to witness light to moderate rain and thundershowers. Some areas may also see intense rainfall accompanied by gusty winds,” a MeT official stated, adding that moderate to heavy showers could occur at scattered locations during this period.

Looking ahead, the department also predicted light rain and thundershowers at isolated locations across the Union Territory from June 1 to 3.

Residents and travelers have been advised to stay alert and monitor local weather updates, especially in vulnerable regions prone to waterlogging or wind-related disruptions.(KINS)
