Baramulla, Aug 22 (KINS): A tragic road accident in the Rajerwani area of Uri Baramulla on Friday claimed the lives of a father and his son, officials said.
News agency KINS reported that the deceased have been identified as Abdul Latif Ganie and his son Fazan Ahmad Ganie, both residents of Uri.
According to locals, the duo was travelling when their vehicle load carrier met with an accident, leaving them dead on the spot.
Police and rescue teams rushed to the site soon after the mishap and shifted the bodies for legal formalities. An official said that a case has been registered and further investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
The incident has cast a pall of gloom over the area, with residents expressing shock and grief over the sudden loss of the two lives.(KINS)
