DC Srinagar reviews progress in implementation of PM Surya Muft Bijli Yojana
SRINAGAR DECEMBER 10: To assess the progress achieved in installation of Solar Rooftops under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana across the district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo (Chairman Monitoring and Management Committee PM-Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana) today chaired a review meeting at Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex.
Besides, Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar, Zonal Head J&K Bank, Executive Engineers of KPDCL, Lead District Manager( Banks), the meeting was attended by KPDCL Engineers and empanelled scheme vendors who presented team wise appraisal of the ongoing installation works and current status under the centrally sponsored scheme.
Underlining the need for mass awareness campaigns, door-to-door surveys and speedy registration of eligible households, the DC directed all stakeholders to ensure enhanced awareness, faster banking facility and time bound installation so that the benefits of the scheme must reach beneficiaries without delay. He directed all departments to accelerate implementation, remove procedural delays and ensure close coordination at every level.
He directed officers to work with renewed focus to reach all the eligible households within the district within stipulated timeframes so that consumers can avail benefits of the scheme.
During the meeting, the DC took a detailed division-wise assessment of the progress across all four Electric Divisions of Srinagar. He instructed KPDCL Engineers to work in mission mode, enhanced coordination and expedite the scheme execution.
