J&K Bank celebrates Lohri with traditional spirit

Srinagar, Jan 14 (KINS): J&K Bank celebrated the festival of Lohri with great enthusiasm and traditional spirit at its Jammu Zonal Office, highlighting its respect for the region’s rich cultural heritage.
The celebrations were led by the Bank’s Managing Director & CEO, Amitava Chatterjee, in the presence of Chief General Manager Sunit Kumar, General Manager Narjay Gupta, GM & Divisional Head (Jammu) Ashok Gupta, Zonal Head (Jammu) Aneeta Nehru, senior officers and staff members.
To mark the occasion, the dignitaries lit the traditional Lohri bonfire in the office परिसर, symbolising thankfulness for the harvest, hope for prosperity and new beginnings.
Speaking on the occasion, Amitava Chatterjee said that festivals like Lohri remind everyone of the values of gratitude, togetherness and positivity. He added that such celebrations help strengthen bonds among employees and promote progress while respecting cultural traditions.
The event also featured traditional Lohri snacks like peanuts, popcorn and other festive treats, adding warmth and joy to the celebrations.
Lohri, which marks the end of winter and the beginning of longer and warmer days, created a happy and inclusive atmosphere at the Bank, reflecting its spirit of unity and shared cultural celebration among employees.(KINS)
