KINS Desk
Srinagar, March 3 (KINS): Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Tuesday announced that educational institutions in several districts of Kashmir will reopen from Wednesday after remaining closed in view of the prevailing situation.
The Minister said the decision was taken following a comprehensive review of ground reports and consultations with district authorities. She said that conditions in many areas have improved, paving the way for the resumption of academic activities.
However, Itoo clarified that a final decision regarding the reopening of schools and colleges in Srinagar and Budgam districts will be taken later in the evening after further assessment of the situation. “We are closely monitoring developments and will take a call keeping the safety of students and staff as the top priority,” she said.
Authorities have advised students, parents and school administrations to remain in touch with official communication channels for timely updates. (KINS)
