Supreme Court grants bail to Shabir Shah in terror funding case

KINS Desk
Srinagar, Mar 12: The Supreme Court of India on Thursday granted bail to separatist leader Shabir Ahmad Shah in a terror funding case registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
A bench of the apex court granted the relief while hearing Shah’s plea challenging the denial of bail by a lower court.
Shah had earlier been arrested by the National Investigation Agency in connection with a case related to alleged terror funding and separatist activities in Jammu and Kashmir.
The case pertains to allegations of conspiracy to secede Jammu and Kashmir from India through unlawful means and raising funds for separatist activities.
The apex court granted bail to Shah after considering his plea against the earlier rejection of bail by the trial court.
