Gulmarg Gondola malfunction leaves 300 tourists stranded mid-air, rescue operation underway

Srinagar, May 25 (KINS): Around 300 tourists were stranded mid-air after a technical fault disrupted operations of the famous Gulmarg Gondola on Monday.
According to officials, the cable car service was temporarily suspended following a malfunction in the system, leaving several cabins halted in the air and triggering panic among visitors at the tourist destination.
Soon after the incident, rescue teams and technical staff rushed to the spot and launched an evacuation operation to ensure the safe return of all stranded passengers.
Officials said efforts were underway to bring tourists down securely while engineers were examining the fault to restore services.
Officials say all tourists are safe.. Authorities, however, said the situation was being closely monitored and all necessary safety measures had been put in place.
