Srinagar, Aug 15 (KINS): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah hosted an ‘At Home’ reception at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC), Srinagar, on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, former Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Abdul Rahim Rather, Cabinet Ministers, Members of Parliament, several Legislators and Judges of the High Court attended the reception.
Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, Administrative Secretaries, senior civil and police officers, representatives of civil society and other prominent citizens were also present.
The reception brought together political leaders, senior government officials, members of the judiciary and representatives from different sections of society to mark the 80th Independence Day.(KINS)
