Tricolour hoisted at 11,667 feet as Razdan Top marks 80th Independence Day

Bandipora, August 15 (KINS): The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic spirit at Razdan Top, where BSF personnel, members of the Chinar Uphar Foundation and local residents came together to hoist the Tricolour.
Located at around 11,667 feet above sea level, Razdan Top provided a unique setting for the celebrations, highlighting the spirit of patriotism and national unity even in the remote and difficult mountain areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
The programme was attended by Naresh Kumar, Company Commander; Sub-Inspector Govind Kumar; Assistant Sub-Inspectors Rupali Rajak and Arun Taid, along with other personnel of the 62nd Battalion, BSF, Northern Frontier.
Chinar Uphar Foundation President Altaf Bhat and Vice President Adv. Saika Rashid also participated in the celebrations.
Speaking on the occasion, Altaf Bhat expressed gratitude to the BSF personnel for their service and dedication to the nation. He said celebrating Independence Day with the security forces at such a high-altitude location was a matter of honour.
Adv. Saika Rashid also paid tribute to the BSF personnel and stressed the importance of strengthening the bond between citizens and the security forces.
The celebration conveyed a message of unity, peace and national integration, with civilians and security personnel joining together under the Tricolour.
Razdan Top lies on the route connecting the Kashmir Valley with the remote Gurez Valley and is known for its challenging terrain and harsh weather conditions.
The programme concluded with a renewed pledge to uphold the values of unity, peace and national pride.(KINS)
