Sunil Sharma holds public outreach programme in Jammu, hears public grievances

Jammu, Sep 10 (KINS): Leader of Opposition in the J&K Legislative Assembly, Sunil Sharma, along with BJP MLAs, held a public outreach programme at the Jammu Convention Centre on Thursday.
Representatives of various groups and organisations met Sharma and the MLAs and raised issues related to employment, salaries, livelihoods, business, infrastructure and welfare.
The delegations included representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, traders, NHM employees, daily wagers, transporters, farmers, industries, junior pharmacists, sports associations, PoJK refugees, Kashmiri Pandits, Anganwadi and ASHA workers, Mid-Day Meal workers, hoteliers and tourism stakeholders, among others.
Sharma and the BJP MLAs heard the concerns raised by the delegations and assured them that their genuine demands would be taken up with the concerned departments. Sharma also said that issues requiring legislative intervention would be raised during the upcoming Assembly session.
The outreach programme was aimed at providing representatives of different sections of society an opportunity to present their grievances and demands before the legislators.(KINS)
