Srinagar, October 27 (KINS): National Conference MLA Abdul Majeed Larmi on Tuesday expressed deep disappointment over not being inducted into the Omar Abdullah-led Council of Ministers, breaking down emotionally while speaking to reporters.
Larmi said he deserved a place in the Cabinet, claiming that he had sacrificed everything for the party.
“I felt very sad not to be part of the Cabinet. I was deserving. I am a businessman and sacrificed everything for the party. Till last moments I was expecting to be part of the cabinet,” Larmi said, according to news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS).
The MLA also questioned the party’s choice of another legislator from South Kashmir, pointing to his own educational qualifications and saying that he held an LLB degree, while the MLA chosen by the party had studied up to Class 10.
Larmi was seen crying and drinking water while others present tried to console him.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday administered the oath of office to four new ministers in the Omar Abdullah-led government at Lok Bhawan in Srinagar.
The newly inducted ministers are Ali Mohammad Sagar, Shamima Firdous, Mir Saifullah and Altaf Ahmad Kaloo.
