Two Militants Killed in Pulwama Encounter

Srinagar, June 3: Two militants were killed in an ongoing encounter in the Nihama area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.
Officials confirmed the deaths but have yet to ascertain the identities of the slain militants. Reports suggest that a top commander of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) might be trapped at the site.
The encounter began after a joint team of police and army personnel launched a nocturnal cordon and search operation in Nihama. The militants opened fire as the forces approached a suspected hideout, sparking a gunfight that is still underway.
