Foreign Terrorists Operating in Jammu Region Will Be Neutralized Soon: DGP
Srinagar, July 06: The Director General of Police (DGP) of Jammu and Kashmir, R. R. Swain, honored 32 police personnel for their exceptional bravery during the recent encounter in Doda. The recognition ceremony took place in Kathua, where nine Special Police Officers (SPOs) were also promoted to constables for their distinguished actions in a Hiranagar operation.
During the event, the DGP underscored the critical role of supporting and expediting the recognition of SPOs for their significant contributions. He further emphasized the importance of strengthening village defense groups and the collaborative efforts between local communities and police forces to ensure regional security.
DGP Swain reassured that the threat posed by foreign terrorists in the Jammu region is diminishing rapidly. He highlighted the substantial progress made by security forces, aided by the active cooperation of the general public, in neutralizing these threats.
“The vigilant support from local communities has been instrumental in dismantling terrorist operations,” Swain remarked. “Foreign terrorists cannot bring back the old days of fear. The ongoing collaboration between the police and residents is a decisive factor in maintaining the region’s safety and stability.”
As operations to eliminate terrorist threats continue, the DGP reiterated the unwavering commitment of the Jammu and Kashmir Police to preserve peace and security. He stressed that the complete eradication of these threats is now within reach.
