Dialogue only way to resolve all problems in J&K, says PDP’s Waheed ur Rehman Parra

KINS Correspondent
Srinagar, Oct 26 (KINS): PDP MLA Waheed ur Rehman Parra on Saturday said that dialogue is the only way to address and resolve the issues in Jammu and Kashmir.
“The increasing incidents of violence are deeply unfortunate. The PDP has consistently advocated that dialogue is the only path to ending violence and resolving all conflicts. Hostilities cannot be resolved through silence,” Waheed said, according to news agency KINS.
“If the government, whether at the state or central level, fails to address the broader humanitarian concerns in Kashmir, this cycle of violence will continue. While we continue to condemn violence against civilians—whether local or non-local—these condemnations alone will not stop the killings. Violence cannot solve any problem in Jammu and Kashmir, and nothing is gained through it,” he said.
“Our youth are languishing in jails. Protests are ongoing across the region—from Ganderbal, Pulwama, and Shopian to Kulgam, Srinagar, and North Kashmir. Young boys are questioned and detained under the label of OGWs (Over Ground Workers),” the PDP leader added.
He urged the government to bring Kashmiri youth held in jails across the country back to the Valley.
“Since the government was formed, there has been no discussion on the jail situation or on the ongoing violence. There is no concrete plan where the state government or the chief minister appeals to the central government to seek resolution through dialogue, political processes, and reconciliation,” he concluded.
