Srinagar, Jan 16: The Army Day 2025 celebrations in Pune became a moment of pride for Tithwal, a serene village rich in history and heritage, as it shone brightly among the eight destinations featured in the newly launched Battlefield Tourism Portal.
During the event, Sadiya, a Class XI student from Army Goodwill School (AGS) Hajinar, emerged as a standout representative of her village’s military and cultural legacy. Speaking via video conference from the iconic Azmat-e-Hind Memorial in Tithwal, Sadiya extended a heartfelt invitation to Raksha Mantri, Rajnath Singh, urging him and the countrymen to visit this historic border village. Her words carried the pride and spirit of her community, resonating with the audience.
The Raksha Mantri graciously acknowledged her invitation, expressing his deep admiration for Tithwal’s significance and promising to visit the village soon. His commitment brought smiles and hope to the people of Tithwal, reaffirming their place in India’s military heritage. The Battlefield Tourism Portal, inaugurated during the event, highlights Tithwal as one of eight iconic locations offering a glimpse into India’s military history.
