Police Organizes Debate Competition on ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’ in Handwara

Srinagar, March 12 (KINS): In a dedicated effort to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and its impact on society, the Handwara Police organized a debate competition on the theme “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Handwara.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, who eloquently expressed their views on the growing menace of drug addiction, its adverse effects on youth, and the collective responsibility of society in eradicating this threat. Speakers highlighted the importance of education, parental guidance, and strict law enforcement in achieving a drug-free India.

Senior police officers, school faculty, and distinguished guests attended the event, commending the students for their thought-provoking speeches. The best performers were honored with certificates and trophies in recognition of their efforts.

Addressing the gathering, a senior police officer reaffirmed the Police Department’s commitment to combating drug abuse and urged the youth to take an active role in spreading awareness. He assured that similar initiatives would continue to educate and empower young minds against substance abuse.(KINS)
