Anyone involved in activities against Nation’s Peace and sovereignty will face the crushing blow of the Modi Govt: Amit Shah

KINS DESK

Srinagar, Mar 12 (KINS): Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated that anyone found involved in activities detrimental to the nation’s peace, order, and sovereignty would face the crushing blow of the Modi government.

He emphasized that the government is committed to taking decisive action against such individuals and groups.

“The Jammu & Kashmir Ittihadul Muslimeen (JKIM) and Awami Action Committee (AAC) have been declared unlawful associations under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). These organizations were found inciting people to cause law and order situations, posing a threat to the unity and integrity of Bharat,” Home Minister Amit Shah wrote, according to news agency KINS.

On Tuesday, the central government declared these two Jammu and Kashmir-based groups as banned organizations for five years under the UAPA.

The AAC, led by Umar Farooq, and JKIM, headed by Masroor Abbas Ansari, have been accused of supporting terrorist activities and propagating anti-India sentiments to fuel secessionism in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a notification, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) stated that AAC members had been involved in activities prejudicial to India’s integrity, sovereignty, and security. Similarly, the MHA noted that JKIM has been engaging in unlawful activities that undermine the country’s unity and security, including support for terrorism and secessionism in the region.

Both organizations will now face a ban under the UAPA for a period of five years.(KINS)
