Three IAS Officers get Proforma promotion to apex scale; Keshav Chandra also elevated

Srinagar, July 23 (KINS): Three senior IAS officers of the AGMUT cadre — Rohit Kansal, Sajjan Singh Yadav, and Varsha Joshi — have been granted Proforma Promotion to the Apex Scale, the highest level in the civil services pay matrix. All three officers belong to the 1995 batch and are currently on Central Deputation.

The promotion will take effect from the date their immediate junior in the cadre assumes charge.

In a separate order, the Ministry of Home Affairs has also promoted Keshav Chandra, another 1995 batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, to the Apex Scale (Level 17). His promotion will be effective from July 1, 2025, or the date he takes charge, whichever is later.

These promotions were approved following the recommendations of the Screening Committee, which met on December 19, 2024. The formal order was issued by Rakesh Kumar Singh, Under Secretary to the Government of India, after obtaining the approval of the competent authority.(KINS)
