Won’t attack neighbouring nations: Iran

Iran Mar 07: The President of Iran on Saturday said the country will no longer carry out attacks on neighbouring nations, signalling a possible de-escalation in regional tensions. Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that neighbouring countries will no longer be targeted unless an attack on Iran is launched from their territory.

According to remarks reported by Iranian media, Pezeshkian said the country’s interim leadership council had approved the decision a day earlier. Under the new policy, Iran will refrain from striking neighbouring nations unless they are used as a base for attacks against the country.
